About Advanced Vision Therapy
Vision Therapy is a structured, specialist-guided treatment program that helps train the eyes and brain to work together more efficiently.
Helps improve eye teaming, focusing, tracking and eye-movement control.
May combine supervised in-clinic sessions with prescribed home activities.
Each program is individualized according to examination findings and patient needs.
Progress is reviewed regularly, and the treatment plan is adjusted when necessary.
How does it work?
Vision therapy uses individually prescribed activities and may include lenses, prisms, filters and computer-based tools to develop or rehabilitate specific visual skills. Progress is monitored by the eye-care team, and the program is modified according to the patient’s response.
Medical note: Vision therapy should begin only after a comprehensive eye examination, a clear diagnosis and a recommendation from a qualified eye-care specialist. It is not a substitute for medical or surgical treatment when either is required.
